These students will be able exhibit their work.
Doreen was a passionate advocate and teacher of decorative arts, particularly in her specialty discipline ceramics. After WWll Doreen was asked by the then Minister of education, Dr Beeby to establish art classes in schools.
Later Doreen became head of the art department at Wellington teachers college infusing many of New Zealand’s well known artists with her love of art as a means of expression.
It is natural therefore that her legacy should include an education component.
