How to contribute

Partnerships are critical to the fulfilment of Foundation objectives.

Financial:

The Blumhardt Gallery: The Dowse will be New Zealand’s leading decorative art and design gallery and architects Kebbell Daish have developed stunning modular display tables to compliment the Blumhardt collection and refurbished Dowse.

The Foundation seeks financial support for this one off fit out. Donors names will feature on the display furniture and donors board – see below.

Scholarships: Naming rights scholarships have been established with Otago Polytech and the other one is yet to be named.

These scholarships will provide artists and designers improved access to further study and the opportunity to exhibit and are the first steps to establishing the educational component of the foundation.

Other ways your contributions will support to our educational objectives include:

  • Visiting artists
  • Workshops by prominent practitioners
  • Lectures for practitioners and art patrons
  • School visits by artists

I loved teaching young people and seeing them develop and explore their talents and ability to create wonderful art objects. Teaching and helping other artists was enormously satisfying.
